Our story
It all started with Pascal Sonderegger and his enthusiasm for Italy. One day he was given the chance to put this enthusiasm into practice at a venerable establishment: the Chartreuse. In August 2015, the Sonderegger family bought the business and Pascal Sonderegger took over the management together with Karin Villiger.
The Chartreuse closed its doors, new ideas emerged and the old building was tastefully renovated. The tiled floor made of Indian slate remained, as did the panels of old fir wood and the spacious layout.
They were joined by travertine tiles, Italian clay and a large wine cellar, as a touch of Italian style found its way into the traditional establishment. Thanks to these additions, visiting the Chartreuse today feels a little like being in Tuscany – or simply at home in the Chartreuse Osteria da Pasquale.
